Flying Angels Bern likes to welcome you in Bern for the EUF Elite Invite 2023

We are happy to organize the Elite Invite 2023.
Welcome to Bern, the capital of Switzerland. Surrounded by a nice emerald river, you can stroll through the old town in the city center, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Check out the second hand shops, bars and restaurants in the vaulted sand stone cellars, or cool down in one of the free swimming pools in Bern.
You will have the chance to play three days of high level Ultimate on a huge field right next to the city with both real grass fields and artificial turf.

This year, on May 27th to 29th, Flying Angels Bern and the European Ultimate Federation are glad to invite you to the first EUF Elite Invite. 8 competitive European Open club teams, 8 Women and 8 mixed will battle for a direct spot to the European Ultimate Championship Finals, held in October 2023.

You can park at the Expo Parking at Bolligenstrasse 61, which is 5min by foot from the fields and costs around CHF 100 for three days of parking. You can also get a parking card for the district 3006 for CHF 16 for 24 hours. These cards can be ordered online and need to be printed out by yourself: Besucherparkkarte (bern.ch)

We invite you to travel by train.

How to get there

By public transport:
Once you arrive in Bern at the main station, you can take the tram 9 to “Guisanplatz Expo” or “Wankdorf Bahnhof”. Get off at the station “Guisanplatz Expo”.

By plane:
Bern only has a small airport, so if you choose to come by plane, it is probably cheaper to fly to Zurich or Basel, which is one hour away from Bern by train; or to Geneva, which is two hours away from Bern.

There will be two accommodation options:

  • A huge bunker with 300 beds available right next to the fields (approximately 32 CHF per night per person).
This includes a Bern-Ticket with which you can use the public transport in the city for free during your stay.
  • Hotel rooms (price to be defined)

Bunker PostFinance Arena: Mingerstrasse 12

On-site catering will be available.
Each team will choose which and how many
meals to pre-order.
Breakfast: CHF 7
Pasta for lunch: CHF 7
Dinner: CHF 12

On Monday there will be a catering instead of pasta.

Pre-booking will be displayed here soon.
